About Me

Rod C. Estrera: A veteran Public Relations and Corporate Communication professional with over 25 years of diverse experience garnered from leading and prestigious multinational and local institutions and projects, Rodolfo Caballero Estrera is a multi-faceted, multi-talented communication and media practitioner whose interests even extend to the performing arts and the academe.

A versatile PR executive with extensive credentials, Rod C. Estrera has, since 1984, managed and implemented numerous successful communication and marketing projects for a wide range of requirements, mostly at San Miguel Corporation, the Philippines’ largest and most diversified business conglomerate, where he harnessed his skills in various capacities for nearly 15 years. He recently served as Assistant Vice President and Head of the Corporate Communication Division of METROBANK (Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company), the Philippines’ premier universal bank, as Senior Manager and Head of the Corporate Communication Office of Philam Plans (now known as PhilPlans), the country’s leading pre-need company, and as Manager for Corporate Communication and Corporate Relations at eTelecare Global Solutions (now known as Stream Global), the World’s Most Awarded Call Center Company.

Prior to all of these, he was part of the highly-successful Mar Roxas Senate Campaign in 2004 as its Program Manager under the Corporate Image Dimensions PR Agency. He was also Country Communication Manager at the Philippine Office of Alcatel, a leading global telecommunication vendor. In addition, Rod Estrera provided management and communication consultancy to the Makati Mini Mall, CATS Motors/Mercedes-Benz and E-Commerce Percs, Inc., a multinational start-up Mobile and PC Game Development Company.

As an avid trade and industry “networker,” Rod Estrera has been an active member and has headed various functions/committees of leading business organizations such as The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Advertising Board of the Philippines (AdBoard), Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA), Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) – Philippines, Philippine Marketing Association (PMA), Advertising Foundation of the Philippines, Junior Achievement of the Philippines (JAPI) and the Philippine Centennial Foundation.

For the past seven years, he has also taught Public Relations and Marketing courses at Miriam College.

Rod C. Estrera holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the Ateneo de Manila University – Loyola School of Sciences, Philippines, where he has also taught Public Relations and other communication courses, and has given talks at and attended numerous communication training courses and conferences around the world. He is also a commercial model and professional voice talent, and has acted in numerous local television dramas and stage plays.
